From 18th to 20th November, the 6-th Annual International Forum on road and bridge projection, construction and maintenance “AVTODOREXPO’2008” has been held in Kiev. Forum was organized by ACCO International exhibition company in cooperation with the State Road Service of Ukraine “UKRAVTODOR” and with the support of International Road Federation – IRF.
For the first time Forum has been held in one of the biggest exhibition centres of Ukraine – “KievExpoPlaza”.
Over the two days roads, construction and engineering professionals from the public and private sector had the opportunity to discuss products and services with exhibiting companies, view product demonstrations and attend the free seminar programme.
The exposition included demonstration of the road-building machinery, materials and technologies for road and bridge construction, traffic management systems, road-marking equipment, devices for traffic safety, traffic signs, services in design and survey work, leasing and wide range of accessories as well as the International scientific and practical conference on road and bridge projection, construction and maintenance.
Today, one of the primary tasks for Ukraine is the integration of roads in the European transport network. It assumes ever greater importance in the context of preparation of Ukraine to conducting the Euro-2012 finale.
The Government Program of highways development for 2007–2011 provides for construction of new roads and bridges, reconstruction of already existent highways, implementation of communal roads and travelling service improvement measures, road safety and environmental protection. These are factors that largely stimulate a strong interest in the Forum from national and foreign companies.
The Forum 2008 saw the participation of 133 exhibitors from 12 countries; Companies from Austria, Byelorussia, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine showcased their manufactures at the exhibition area of 6221,6 sq.m.
Among visitors of “AVTODOREXPO” were heads of branch ministries and departments of Ukraine, executive authorities, specialists of scientific research institutes, representatives of regional road maintenance services and public utilities.
“AVTODOREXPO’2008”is Ukraine's only dedicated roads industry event. Key decision makers and suppliers come together in this nationally-focused forum to find out what is new, source products and services and forge new partnerships.
Next years event is planned for 17 - 19 November 2009 at the same venue, the KyivExpoPlaza Trade Fair Center. We look forward to seeing you again!
