Concept of the Exhibition:
Energetics is a fundamental branch that ensures well-being and independence of the state. It provides production, transportation and such vital areas of consumption as heating, lighting and food preparation with the necessary amount of energy.
The global trend to increase the cost of organic carriers and expenses to protect the environment from the negative impact of processes connected with the further growth of energy production, lead to the reduction of profits and, correspondingly, standards of well-being.
Among the environmental problems connected with the development of power engineering, the most threatening is the problem of global warming. Climate determines the majority of ecological processes that are crucial for the existence of the world's population. Carbon dioxide that is constantly accumulating in the atmosphere as a result of fossil fuels burning creates perfect conditions for the onset of greenhouse effect and climate change. The anxiety of the international community in this subject is constantly perceptible in the statements of meteorologists, environmentalists and representatives of other branches of science.
Problems of environmental pollution and the risks connected with the exploitation of power generating equipment, which were local up to now, take a global character. In order to maintain the current level of prosperity, humanity will have to move to new, ecologically clean technologies of energy supply system.
The problem of search for reasonable and not threatening with terrible consequences ways of energy development is the main task of developing energy policy of any state.
The strategic goal of Ukraine's energy policy in the coming years is to reduce the consumption of natural gas and to increase the working efficiency of all operators of the power market. The Ukrainian government has adopted a number of legislative acts that encourage the introduction of energy efficient technologies and renewable sources of energy in all sectors of the national economy. That is why the organizers of the "Power & Energy" exhibition have assigned primary importance to Alternative Energy and Energy Efficiency thematic sections.
Significant growth rates of renewable energy sources consumption allow us to point the real existence of renewable energy as a separate sector of economy, which will be able to compete with traditional power engineering.
The commonality of tasks connected with safe, qualitative and affordable power supply defines the direct connection between traditional and renewable power engineering.

The leading event of the domestic fuel and energy complex, Ukrainian Energy Forum, will take place on November, 2-4, 2010. The 9-th International Trade Fair of energy generation, transmission and distribution, alternative sources of energy and energy-saving technologies "Power and Energy 2010" will be held within its framework.
The Trade Fair isorganized by ACCO International Company, Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine and NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”.
Over the period of its existence, Ukrainian Energy Forumholds the position of the main branch event of the country and is thought to be one the most prestigious events of power industry in Eastern Europe.
In 2009, almost 51 exhibitor from 8 countries participated in the exhibition, namely Austria, Denmark, Germany, China, Poland, Russia, USA and Ukraine. Among the exponents were world leaders of the branch: APLISENS, COMRENT® INTERNATIONAL, EC INDUSTRY GROUP LIMITED, ELMESS-THERMOSYSTEMTECHNIK, HAFI Engineering, HUMMEL AG, KLОPPER-THERM, MAN DIESEL, TEK KNOW Holding ApS., VESTAS Oesterreich, as well as the well-known domestic companies: SATURN® DATA INTERNATIONAL, TEPLOLUX UKRAINE, ENERGY-SAVING SYSTEMS and others.
Every year, enterprises-participants showcase up-to-date technologies and equipment for small and large-scale power generation, control-measuring and analytical equipment, integrated power delivery and control systems, machinery, materials, technological engineering services, etc.
Scientific and technical seminars, round tables and presentations take place within the framework of business program.
Energy issues are still the most vital for the whole world, playing the key role in the economic development, ensuring independence and security of the state. Efficient use of energy resources, energy-saving and the reduction of energy consumption, search for alternative energy sources are the strategic objectives of the modern times.
